WOMEN URGED TO MOVE FORWARD IN GOVERNANCE AND POLITICS

Civil Society Organizations, Legislators and Stakeholders had a strategic meeting in Abuja on Women participation in politics and moving forward in Governance; with keen interest in the promotion and protection of women and girls in Nigeria. The results and outcome from the 2019 elections which showed women still face serious obstacles in their bid for elected offices due to violence, intimidation and discrimination were discussed.
